Hi, we are The Mindful Birth Doulas, Amanda & Jen. We are trained through Doulas of North America (DONA®). We are Registered 200-Hr Yoga Teachers (RYT), Registered 85-Hr Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teachers (RPYT) & Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educators (HBCE®).
Our passion lies in guiding women to FEEL EMPOWERED by their birth choices. Our goal is to support & educate women like you, to TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS & BIRTH WITHOUT FEAR.
We are leading the Mindful Birth Workshop at Be Well IHS Monday, April 8 at 7:00pm. This 2-hour workshop is for you and your birthing support partner, and will cover:

𝘊𝘋(𝘋𝘖𝘕𝘈), 𝘏𝘉𝘊𝘌®, 𝘗𝘛𝘈, 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘉𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩® 𝘋𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘢
Amanda’s mantra, “She believed she could, so she did.,” is what she lives by. Her passion lies in supporting and educating women through their pregnancy and birth. Her ultimate goal is to help women to birth without fear and to feel empowered by their birth choices. The day she gave birth to her son was the day she realized her true calling in life, a birth doula and childbirth educator. To say it frankly, Amanda’s husband walked out on her when she was 38 weeks pregnant, and completely blindsided her with his bags pre-packed; leaving her with their townhouse, a new puppy and a baby on the way to figure it out on her own. Even though her entire world was turned upside down she still continued with her goal and plan to have a natural birth for her baby. She did not let anything stop her from reaching this goal, “she believed she could, so she did!”
She had a wonderful birth support team, her midwife mother and her doula sister, who supported her throughout labor and delivery and was able to create a calm and nurturing environment to bring her son into. Amanda’s goal is to serve and create that environment for future moms and allow them to feel fearless on their birth journey.
Amanda now lives in her hometown in New Jersey to be closer to family and her support system. Amanda has a 6 year old son and an Australian shepherd that she loves spending time with.

Jennifer’s training and devotion as a birth doula, prenatal yoga instructor, childbirth educator and wellness center owner stems from her own spiritual journey. On her third and final round of in-vitro fertilization, IVF, Jennifer won her battle with secondary infertility, becoming pregnant not once but twice with the help of her reproductive medicine doctors at RMA of NJ. She has three beautiful children and has given birth three very different ways, including one natural vaginal birth after cesarean section, VBAC. She has survived both antepartum and postpartum depression (different pregnancies), and has been able to help others because of these unique experiences. The balance, spiritual growth and inner peace, yoga and mindfulness provided her during these challenging times inspired Jennifer to alter her life’s course and use her experiences to educate and empower other mothers-to-be.

Fast forward to the present, Jennifer has co-founded a sanctuary for women who are on their pregnancy, birth & motherhood journey. In the spring of 2016 Avalon Wellness Center in Morristown, NJ was born, offering classes and wellness services to educate and empower pregnant and postpartum women. She has gone on to create Mindful Birth: prenatal yoga, Mindful Birth workshops and doula services for expecting families. She is a registered prenatal yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance (RPYT®), a certified doula through doulas of North America, CD(DONA), is a certified HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method Childbirth Educator, HBCE and is a Mindful Birth Educator.
